Dr. Maurizio Longo, DVM, PhD, Doctor Europaeus, MRCVS, DipECVDI

Dr. Maurizio Longo graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Milan in 2011. After a rotating and Imaging internship at the Istituto Veterinario di Novara (Italy), he was enrolled in a PhD program on soft tissue sarcomas, completed in 2016 (Doctor Europaeus).

He did a residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies – University of Edinburgh and is now a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
He has a strong interest in research especially focused on the urinary tract, neurodegenerative, oncological and cardiovascular diseases.

He joined the Antech Imaging Service team full time in 2020 and moved back to Italy to live in Milan. He is head of diagnostic imaging of C.T.O. Veterinario, a referall trauma hospital in Arenzano (Genova, Italy).

Outside of his interest in imaging Dr. Longo enjoys spending free time travelling around the world while performing all sorts of sports from skiing and climbing to water sports.
